Is this still something we want to do or do we instead wait for a new Menu all together (for example something like in #1048 ?)

fdd2div is used by the Language and Site selector. This is not addressed by #1048.
OK thanks for clarification. How much effort is this? Otherwise, we can wait until we need to modify something in the menu. would vote for wontfix
If we're going to defer, I'd rather we keep it open and simply move to a different milestone.
The current markup used to layout the language selector causes the document to not pass the w3c validator.
And the markup and/or fdd2div code means we can't "click" on a language during a WebTest.
