Default day and period should be configurable in app configuration.

possible values for day/period could be: today, yesterday, this week, last week,...

(In [3077]) refs #1595 added possibility to configure default report date

I added the possibilty to choose between following default report dates: 'today', 'yesterday', 'current week', 'current month', 'current year'. These are the same values as under "Settings -> User Settings" in the website version.
