Broken tooltips in IE #1602
Comments
This is occurring in jquery.tooltip.js's update() function (bound to the mousemove). Looking at the code, I can't see why it would be failing. The plugin hasn't been updated in 2 years. Perhaps we should replace with the built-in tooltip coming in jQueryUI 1.9? |
replacing with jQUERY UI tooltip sounds good (of course) :) |
Beatgarantie: can you enable script debugging, and use the IE debugger to get a stacktrace? I wasn't able to replicate the problem in comment:1 ... I grepped to find that line of code, and that was the only place it appears. |
The IE debugger stops at these lines:

Scratch that... apply just the change to broadcast.js from [3074]. |
I changed broadcast.js but got the same issue: Now I was able to debug to this line:
Line number: 623 => jQuery Tooltip plugin 1.3 |
Do you have any third-party plugins installed? |

On FF:

Patch against the unminified source:

(In [3084]) fixes #1602 - see comment:ticket:1602:12 for patch against the unminified source |
(In [3085]) refs #1602 - restore header comments |
