Hi!

My smartphone has only adobe flash 9.0 available (maemo) and some of my desktop/notebooks are bound to gnash (not x86 , not plain linux / freebsd) so would be nice to have at least support for flash 8 or something like that. Doesn't look like piwik is using any of the fancy flash10 features at all

Sorry, we re-targeted for Flash 10 for consistency (it's required by PiwikMap.swf) and because we don't don't use Flash 9 in our testing.

Open Flash Chart uses Flex 3, so technically, we could re-target for Flash 9. However, because of the font licensing issue, we plan to either migrate to Flex 4 and use the new text routines found in Flash 10 (i.e., similar to what's already been done for PiwikMap.swf) and/or implement non-Flash charts (#804).
