More granular than a "page view", a report that shows:

  • URL
  • number of times the URL was displayed
  • number of times the URL was clicked

Scenarios:

  • display ads
  • gallery images
  • downloads
  • search results

Might help to provide an example proxy that tracks the links served.

A variation is a directory

  • impression - the vendor's short listing in a directory
  • page view - the vendor's long listing in a directory
  • click through - to the vendor's site

I think that you are maybe referring to "Internal attribution" or the fact that you can give "conversion rate", "revenue" for any page, category, internal search keyword, etc. See ticket: #2669

Otherwise to currently track "click through" with Piwik is not possible since we do not track on the click, but before and after.

Tracking "impressions" and page views is not a problem, "Custom Titles" page views can be generated for each slot / ad to track.
