It could be very usefull to save events for specific dates and show for example in the Graphs and also some stats.
Some examples of events can be

  • sending out newsletter
  • presenting a product on an expo
  • showing a presentation with thousands of listeners

Reason for this is, it is not easy to remember all this dates some month ago, but it is very interesting to see what this kind of marketing activities bring back to website visitors.
