Hello,

I would like to share an idea with you.

If an ip provider is unknown, I would appreciate if Piwik asks via whois for the provider.

On sourceforge I found this project: http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpwhois/ so maybe the code helps a bit.

This could possibly be really slow?

Maybe. But as long as there are not very much IPs it should be possible with a cronjob.
