Hi Piwik-Team,

as a feature it would be very helpfull if piwik would provide methods to declare own language values for existing entries. This would save a lot of time during update process.

We use the opt-in/opt-out mechanism for languages which are not yet fully translated by piwik-core. So we updated the existing language file by adding our translations.

These updates have to be reintegrated on every update-process. It would be much better if there were a mechanism which checks for custom language files.

E.g.

if(is_file(local/custom/$language.inc.php)){
require_once();
}

After loading the piwik languages files.

Hi there.
If there are translations missing in a language you require, please feel free to register at http://translations.piwik.org and complete those. All transations done there will automaticaly be included in next release.

If you would like to overwrite existing translations to make them fit your purpose, you might be able to do that using a custom plugin providing only those translations you would like to overwrite.

Hi There,

providing an own plugin is a very good hint. Thanks. Are there any documents available for devs how to develop a piwik plugin or should I start copying a existing plugin.

Ticket can be closed. Shoudl I do that?
